Genie TV Original 'Namib' is a drama that contains the story of fired star producer Kang Soo-hyun (Go Hyun-jung) and released long-term trainee Yoo Jin-woo (Ryeowoon) meeting and moving forward toward their respective goals.
The first OST of the drama 'Namib', 'Smile Again', was sung by NCT's Doyoung, who has recently been active in various fields including both groups and solo. 'Smile Again' is a song that delivers hope and comfort to us who are tired day by day, as our earnestly desired dreams hit the dry wall of reality.
The soft yet solid guitar and gently spreading drums at the beginning of the song calmly express the emotions of facing the high wall of reality in the midst of a hard day. The guitar performance, keyboard, and string sounds that gradually develop as the song progresses express the emotions of breaking through and overcoming the wall of reality and reaching 'hope'.
NCT Doyoung, a vocalist with a wide spectrum that encompasses both delicacy and solidity, conveys deep resonance and emotion with his voice and completes the song with a dramatic atmosphere.
Doyoung is active worldwide as part of the group NCT 127. In April, he successfully debuted as a solo artist with his first solo album 'Youth Foam (YOUTH)'. He then successfully completed his first Asian tour with a total of 18 performances in 9 regions, and once again received sympathy and love from the youth with the single 'Dazzling' released in November.
The first OST of 'Namib', 'Smile Again', will be released on various music platforms including Genie Music at 6 PM today. The 'Namib' drama airs on ENA every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM. Streaming will be provided free of charge on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile immediately after the original broadcast.
