Le Seraphim, 'Japan Record Award' departure... Proving popularity in Japan

LE SSERAFIM is heating up Japan.



According to Japan's TBS on the 19th, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Heo Yun-jin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae) will appear on the '66th Shine! Japan Record Awards' (hereafter referred to as the 'Japan Record Awards'), which will air at 5:30 PM on the 30th.

The 'Japan Record Awards' is a music awards ceremony hosted by the Japan Composer's Association. It began in 1959 and has the longest tradition and authority in Japan. Last month, the list of this year's winners was announced, and LE SSERAFIM won the Special International Music Award. This award is given to artists who have shown outstanding global performance that year, regardless of a specific region/country. It is especially meaningful that Seraphim is the first K-pop girl group to receive a trophy in this category.



Seraphim will attend the awards ceremony as a recipient and show off a powerful performance. They prepared the title song 'CRAZY -Japanese ver.-' of their third Japanese single released on the 11th. This is the Japanese version of their fourth mini-album's title song 'CRAZY', which was previously released in Korea and has been steadily gaining popularity. In particular, this song ranked 3rd on Billboard Japan's 'Hot 100' released on the 18th, renewing their highest ranking as a song. They proved their hot popularity once again by showing their stamina about 4 months after their release.



Seraphim has achieved amazing results in Japan this year. They showed off their power by being named in many categories such as the 'Hot 100' comprehensive song chart, 'Hot Album' comprehensive album chart, and 'Top Artist' on Billboard Japan's '2024 First Half Chart'. In addition, they held their first Japanese fan meeting 'LE SSERAFIM FAN MEETING FEARNADA 2024 S/S - JAPAN' in 4 local cities, mobilizing about 80,000 audiences. Recently, the song 'Eve, Psyche and Bluebeard's Wife' from their first regular album surpassed 100 million cumulative streams and was certified 'Platinum' in the streaming category by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. following the TBS 'Japan Record Awards' on the 30th, Le Serafim has been invited to NHK's representative year-end special program 'Kōhaku Uta Gassen' on the 31st for the third consecutive year to appear.
