'Squid Game 2' is the story of Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to the game after vowing revenge, and Frontman (Lee Byung-hun), and the fierce confrontation and resumption of the real game. Unusually for a pre-release work, it was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best TV Series Drama, garnering early attention, and has been receiving explosive responses from global viewers since its release on the 26th.
Park Jin-young, an executive director of the DI headquarters at Dexter Studios, who was in charge of the digital color correction work, said, "'Squid Game 2' was shot with the ARRI ALEXA 35, which boasts the industry's highest picture quality. We tried to bring out the expressiveness of the video to the maximum, while realistically bringing out the unique colors and atmosphere of the art and sets." He added, "If you focus on the vivid sense of space provided by the larger scale of the game hall and the colorful visual elements of each space, you will be able to feel a fresh sense of fun."
Livetone Director Kang Hye-young, who participated as a sound supervisor for the second season, said, "Since 'Squid Game' is a series with a global fandom, we focused on consistently conveying the sensations that viewers felt in Season 1, such as the sound transmitted through the speakers and the resonance of the voice according to the space." She added, "In particular, the ultimate goal was to maximize the emotional line that changes according to the characters' nature and the complex psychological battle that unfolds through sound mixing."
