held their solo concert '2024 DAY6 Special Concert 'The Present'' at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul on December 20th and 21st. As this is the first 'special concert' in about a year since their Christmas special concert 'DAY6 Christmas Special Concert 'The Present: You are My Day'' from December 22nd to 24th, 2023, it made fans' year-end excitement even more excited. This concert in particular garnered much attention as DAY6 was the first K-pop band to enter Gocheok Sky Dome, one of the largest indoor concert halls in Korea, and proved its popularity by selling out all 38,000 seats for both days. On the last day of the concert, the 21st, an online paid live broadcast was also held simultaneously through the Beyond LIVE platform.

◇The Present: The 'gift' created by DAY6 and My Day, the eternal 'now'
They started the concert meaningfully with 'Colors' included in their debut album 'The Day' in September 2015, and continued with 'I Didn't Know That Was Your Love', 'COUNTER', and 'Those Were Happy Days'. The large screen proportional to the size of the concert hall heightened the atmosphere of the songs by sometimes taking the audience into the forest and sometimes into special memories. The members enthralled the venue with their opening remarks and aspirations, saying, "This is our first time coming to Gocheok Sky Dome, and it's so big that I'm surprised. I'm so happy to be here. This day has come for us and for My Day (fandom name: My Day). We're really touched. Thank you for being with us at the end of the year, and we will make this concert the best ever."
DAY6 expressed their sincerity, saying, "The title of the concert is 'The Present,' and as the name suggests, it means a 'present' for you all, and since it's the end of the year, we wanted to shake off our worries and focus on the 'present.' We hope that the 'present' we spend with you all can be a good 'present.'" True to their wishes, the concert was composed like a music gift set, increasing satisfaction. Not only did they present ballads like "Still Living There" and "Like the Flowing Wind" that stimulate the emotions, but they also presented a festival that sent shivers down the spine with high-energy sections like "Help Me Rock&Roll" and "Shoot Me", and they gifted fans with a moment of "now" that will remain in their memories even after time passes with encore songs like "Welcome to the Show", "Meok-a-nae-ryeo-yo" and "Can Become a Page".
The fantastic band live of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon as well as various sounds echoed throughout Gocheok Sky Dome. They captivated the hearts of the audience with a total of 9 songs, including "Congratulations", "Only I'm a Sad Ending" and "Love Me or Leave Me", performed with a large orchestra and the arrangement that seemed to tell another story along with the four instruments of guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. The excellent sing-along of My Day, a signature song on top of the members' accompaniment, also added to the emotion, and the flash event of the sold-out audience during the singing of "It Was Pretty" completed a beautiful moment that seemed to fill the night sky of Gocheok Sky Dome with stars.
DAY6, who finished the special year 2024 with their fans, said, "Thanks to My Day, we've performed at Gocheok Sky Dome. So many people have congratulated us, and we were able to come this far because of you. As a band, we're deeply moved to be able to perform here, and we're grateful for giving us an experience we've never had before." They also said, "Next year will be our 10th debut anniversary. We always think about how we can repay the love you've given us, but I think we'll be able to find the answer if we get strength from each other. Having become the first K-pop band to enter the Gocheok Sky Dome, they will continue to be active in 2025. They will resume their new world tour 'DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR' in Kaohsiung in January next year, expanding its scale with sold-out tickets and additional tour venues and performances. All eyes are on DAY6's 10th debut anniversary in 2025, when they will continue their great journey by gathering the past and present of the 'band you can trust and listen to'.
