'Only Today I LOVE YOU' is a dance song that cheerfully depicts the realistic aftermath of a breakup. They completed BOYNEXTDOOR's own 'MZ Breakup Song' by mixing self-deprecating lyrics about suffering from the aftereffects of a breakup with a melody based on a band sound. They plan to break away from the stereotype that breakup songs are sad and show a cheerful charm.



As BOYNEXTDOOR has garnered sympathy from many people with 'lifestyle music', interest in 'Only Today I LOVE YOU' is also high. Previously, they sang about the loss of a first love ('What's It Like'), the frustration of a love that doesn't go as planned ('Earth, Wind & Fire'), and the grounded confidence of youth approaching their twenties ('Nice Guy'), forming a connection with listeners by singing about experiences and emotions that anyone would have experienced.
